Numat’s integrated campus is home to an ISO 9001:2015 certified MOF manufacturing facility co-located with the industry’s first technology-enabled material design and application development center.
Numat’s facilities are purpose built to power a culture of innovation, leveraging digital technologies to accelerate the development of MOF-based solutions, rapidly bringing new MOF products from the development stage to high-volume manufacturing.
When combined with our experienced team of chemists, engineers and operators, we are uniquely equipped to deliver MOF-enabled solutions at scale.
History
Building upon a rich legacy of innovation
Numat’s headquarters and central campus are located in the former Pyle-National Company factory, a national historic site.
In 1916, this historic Chicago foundry produced the first electric headlights for steam locomotives, enabling a transportation revolution as trains could now safely operate at night. Over the years, this foundry proudly welcomed innovators such as Thomas Edison and employed Nikola Tesla as Pyle-National continued to make significant breakthroughs in the lighting world.
While Pyle-National exited the city in 1992, we’re proud to play a role in revitalizing this historic site and manufacturing excellence in the Midwest, building upon a history of innovation excellence and impact.
