Ingenious chemistry meets real world problems

We’re changing the way industries around the world are capturing and separating the hazardous materials impacting our planet.

Our Story

A rich history of solving complex problems

At Numat we are on a mission to drive industrial efficiency through chemistry innovation.

Numat was founded by friends who shared a passion to improve the world through chemistry innovation. To do so, they wanted to build a new way forward, merging the digital and physical worlds with human ingenuity to accelerate precision chemistry commercialization. They were true believers in the potential of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) to solve the biggest challenges at the smallest possible level, and applied creativity, joy and intensity of purpose to make this a reality.

Today, Numat has grown into a leader in the field of precision chemistries, being the first in the world to industrialize MOFs across critical industrial sectors. While we’ve grown significantly, our founder-led culture of empathy and innovation for impact has not, ensuring the continuity of our core mission to solve the problems that matter.

Leaders In Mofs

Precision chemistries enabling a better tomorrow

Numat has been at the forefront of MOF research and production for over a decade, and is the first company to successfully commercialize MOFs. Our demonstrated ability to select the best MOF for a specific application is our advantage to ensuring a solution that creates meaningful impact.

Today, we produce MOFs in industrial scale quantities through a highly integrated workflow, from high-throughput experimental discovery and application development to prototype testing and product delivery.

Our MOF-based solutions are deployed in a variety of industries and applications reducing the negative impact of chemical products and processes on human health and the environment, including next generation protection technology in warfighter apparel to capture and destroy chemical weapons and toxic industrial chemicals and in existing semiconductor manufacturing processes, improving yield, safety and sustainability.
